The father of student Rojin Qabaish demands justice and talks about “erasing recordings” in her death case
Nizam al-Din Qabaish, the father of student Rojin Qabaish, whose body was found in Lake One in 2024 after she disappeared from her university residence, continues to demand that the circumstances of his daughter’s death be revealed amid allegations of an attempt to cover up the case.
The case of student Rojin Kabayş is still at the forefront of public attention in Turkey, as her father, Nizam al-Din Kabayş, continues to seek justice with the help of a new lawyer who is following up on the details of the file.
Rojin Kabayş disappeared on September 27, 2024 after leaving her university residence, and her body was found 18 days after her disappearance, on October 15, 2024, in the Malagasim area on the banks of Lake Wan.
The forensic medicine institution’s report showed the presence of DNA belonging to two different men on the girl’s body, and DNA samples were taken from 413 people, including security employees at the university and university dormitories.
After Wan’s bar association withdrew from the case, the father was forced to contract with a new lawyer to follow up on the file. The Public Prosecution continues to examine surveillance camera footage of the last 3 days before the girl’s disappearance, while the father confirms that there was an attempt to cover up the case.
