The issue of the armed attack that targeted the Fenerbahce Club bus in 2015 in Trabzon has been re-raised, after new details were revealed indicating that the attack was carefully planned on an overhead bridge with the aim of causing the bus to fall, and that the investigation had previously been stopped.
The armed attack on the Fenerbahce team bus occurred on April 4, 2015, while the team was returning from a match against Rizaspor, in the Surmena region of Trabzon.
The new details revealed indicate that the attack was not a random act by a group of angry fans, but rather an organized and coordinated attack with extreme precision on a professional level.
A CNN Turk correspondent explained that the attack targeted the bus at a specific point on an overhead bridge, So, if the driver lost control of the steering wheel and the bus fell, it would have rolled over an area extending 5 meters towards the lower road, which would have led to a major disaster, and perhaps the bus would slide towards the Black Sea.
The bus driver, Ufak Kiran, was injured by a bullet during the attack. Reports indicated that the investigation into the incident was previously suspended and was not allowed to proceed, amid accusations that the Fethullah Gulen Terrorist Organization (FETO) was involved in planning the attack.
