Zelensky: Ukraine will obtain American Patriot missiles in the coming days
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that his country will receive a batch of PAC-3 missiles used in Patriot defense systems from the United States soon, in addition to requesting a license to manufacture them locally after talks with Trump in Ankara.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced, through his social media account in response to journalists’ questions, that his country will soon receive a batch of PAC-3 missiles used in Patriot air defense systems from the United States.
Zelensky said that he discussed with US President Donald Trump and European leaders the need to secure these missiles as soon as possible, adding: “We will receive a batch of Patriot missiles from America in the coming days. I also have separate agreements with The Europeans: There are no final conditions yet, but there will be additional shipments from PAC-3.”
Zelensky explained that Ukraine had asked the United States for a license to manufacture Patriot missiles locally, and that he discussed this matter with Trump during their meeting in Ankara, noting that Trump expressed a positive attitude towards granting the license, and said: “The United States recognizes Ukraine as a country ready for this matter.”
Zelensky indicated that he had launched an initiative. To create the “Freya” project, which aims to build a joint air defense system with European countries to confront potential threats coming from Russia.
