Turkish Foreign Ministry: The European Parliament’s decision regarding the Turkish army is null and void
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected a resolution issued by the European Parliament containing what it described as false allegations against the Turkish Armed Forces, considering that it reflects a biased approach towards the Cyprus issue, and declared its full support for the position of Turkish Northern Cyprus.
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement in which it described the resolution adopted by the European Parliament, which contained what it considered “false and illogical allegations” against the Turkish Armed Forces, as “null and void.”
The Ministry expressed its full support for the statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Northern Cyprus regarding this resolution, describing it as carrying “disgraceful slander” that represents the latest example of the biased and distorted approach adopted by the European Union, And its Parliament in particular, towards the Cyprus issue under the guidance of certain circles.
The Ministry expressed its concern about the European Union institutions gradually moving away from historical facts and neutrality in their dealings with the Cyprus issue.
