Putin threatens Ukraine: “We will always respond with greater force” to refinery attacks
Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to respond more forcefully to the Ukrainian army's attacks on Russian oil refineries and warehouses, stressing that the Russian energy sector is "very solid and strong" despite these attacks, during his participation in an event of the Russian Popular Front movement in Moscow.
Russian President Vladimir Putin participated in a program and exhibition organized by the Russian Popular Front movement in the capital, Moscow, according to a statement issued by the Kremlin.
Putin said during the event that the West continues to “fight Russia,” but Moscow, in return, continues to develop its economy and modernize its army.
The Russian President touched on the Ukrainian army’s attacks on oil refineries and warehouses inside Russian territory, saying: “The Russian energy sector has a solid and very strong foundation. They (the Ukrainians) are creating some Problems related to oil products, but I believe that the situation will improve with time.”
Putin stressed that his country will respond strongly to these attacks, adding: “We will always respond to attacks in kind, but our response will be stronger. The enemy feels it now, and will feel it more in the future.”
